حدثني أبو بكر بن بالَوَيهِ، حدَّثنا إبراهيم بن إسحاق الحَرْبي، حدَّثنا مصعب بن عبد الله قال: وأمُّ فَرُوةَ بنت أبي قُحافة أخت أبي بكر الصدِّيق عمَّةُ عائشة، وأمُّها هِند بنت نُقَيد (1) بن بُجَير بن عَبد (2) بن قُصَي، زوَّجها أبو بكرٍ الأشعثَ بنَ قيس، فولدت له محمدًا وإسحاقَ وحَبَّانة (3) وقَريبة، وعاشت بعد النبي ﷺ. ذكرُ أُمَيمة بنتِ رُقَيقة ﵂
It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah that Sayyidah Umm Farwah bint Abi Quhafah (may Allah be pleased with her) was the sister of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and the paternal aunt of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). Her mother was Hind bint Nuqayd. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) married her to al-Ash'ath bin Qays, and she bore him Muhammad, Ishaq, Habbanah and Qaribah. She lived on after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this name was distorted into "Nufayl".

Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this was distorted here into "Ubayd" (in the diminutive form), whereas among the children of Qusayy there is no one named "Ubayd"; rather, it is "Abd".
