It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that the mother of Sayyidah Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah bin Abi Mu'ayt (may Allah be pleased with her) was Arwa bint Kurayz. Umm Kulthum accepted Islam in Makkah and gave the pledge of allegiance before the emigration, and she was the first woman to emigrate (from Makkah) after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
