It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Hakim bint Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ate meat on the bone at my house. Then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came and informed him (peace and blessings be upon him) that it was time for prayer, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed and did not perform ablution (again).

Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and its narrators are thiqah. Technical note / Defect ('illah): If it is established that 'Ammar (the mawla of Banu Hashim, who is 'Ammar bin Abi 'Ammar) heard from Umm Hakim, then this chain is sahih; but apart from this hadith no other narration of his from Umm Hakim is known. Reference / Source: Al-Harith bin Abi Usamah narrated it in his Musnad (Bughyat al-Bahith 95) from Dawud bin al-Muhabbar, Ibn Abi 'Asim in "al-Ahad wa al-Mathani" (3158) from Hudbah bin Khalid, and Imam al-Tahawi (1/ 65) and al-Tabarani (25/ 213) via Hajjaj bin al-Minhal. All three narrate it from Hammad bin Salamah with this same chain.
