It is narrated from Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Umm Sharik al-Ansariyyah of Banu al-Najjar. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I would like to marry among the Ansar." Then he said: "Indeed, I dislike their (intense) jealousy." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not consummate the marriage with her.

Grading: Its chain is weak like the previous one. Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "Dala'il al-Nubuwwah" (7/ 228) from Abu 'Abd Allah al-Hakim with this same chain. Reference / Source: Abu Nu'aym narrated it in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (7466 and 7467) by way of al-Husayn bin Abi Ma'shar, from Abu al-Ash'ath Ahmad bin al-Miqdam.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The manuscripts have the name "Saba". "Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd" (10/ 144) has: "Saba, and it is said: Sana bint al-Salt bin Habib bin Harithah bin Hilal bin Haram bin Simak bin 'Awf al-Sulami". "Tarikh al-Tabari" (3/ 166) has similar. Al-Daraqutni wrote in "al-Mu'talif wa al-Mukhtalif" (3/ 1320) under "Chapter: Sana and Saba'": "As for Sana (with sin and nun), she is a woman: Sana bint Asma' bin al-Salt, whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married, but she died before he consummated the marriage." Ibn Makula mentioned similarly in "al-Ikmal" (4/ 379): "As for Sana with nun, she is Sana bint Asma' bin al-Salt al-Sulamiyyah, whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married, and she died before he consummated the marriage." Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Daraqutni said that Ibn Abi Khaythamah said: "Qatadah contradicted the two of them and said that he (peace and blessings be upon him) married 'Ansa' bint Asma' bin al-Salt, whereas the correct name is 'Sana'."
