Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6972

It is narrated from Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri that Sayyidah Zaynab bint Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away during the blessed lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He further stated that she was Zaynab bint Khuzaymah bin al-Harith bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Abd Manaf bin Hilal bin Amir bin Sa'sa'ah, and that she was well known by the title Umm al-Masakin (the Mother of the Poor); even in the period of ignorance (Jahiliyyah) she was called by this name. She passed away in Madinah after the Hijrah, during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
