Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) This hadith is "sahih", and this chain is "strong" on account of Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad (al-Darawardi), who has been corroborated. However, there is disagreement over Abd al-Malik bin Abi Bakr and over his father as well regarding whether this narration is "connected" (wasl) or "mursal" (irsal), as is made clear in "Musnad Ahmad" (44/ 26504, 26619).
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Muslim (1460/ 42) via Sulayman bin Bilal and Abu Damrah Anas bin Iyad, both of them from Abd al-Rahman bin Humayd, with this chain.
Note / Clarification: Therefore al-Hakim's istidrak of it (including it in al-Mustadrak) is an oversight on his part.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Muslim (1460/ 43) via Abd al-Wahid bin Ayman, from Abu Bakr bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham, from Umm Salamah; he mentioned that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married her, and mentioned things including this, (that) he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, I will stay seven (nights) with you and stay seven with (each of) my other wives; and if I stay seven with you, I will stay seven with my other wives."
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ahmad (26504), Muslim (1460/ 41), Abu Dawud (2122), Ibn Majah (1917), al-Nasa'i (8876) and Ibn Hibban (4210) via Sufyan al-Thawri, from Muhammad bin Abi Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm, from Abd al-Malik bin Abi Bakr bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin Hisham, from his father, from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Muslim (1460/ 42) via Malik, from Abd Allah bin Abi Bakr, from Abd al-Malik bin Abi Bakr, from Abu Bakr bin Abd al-Rahman: that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he married Umm Salamah.
Note / Clarification: The mention of "Abu Bakr bin Abd al-Rahman" had dropped out of the (Muhammad Fu'ad) Abd al-Baqi edition (of Sahih Muslim), and we have restored it from "Tuhfat al-Ashraf" (18229).
