Mustadrak al-Hakim 6892 — The best of men is Abu Bakr and the best

أخبرنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا موسى بن إسحاق القاضي، حَدَّثَنَا أبو بكر بن أبي شَيْبة ومحمد بن بكَّارٍ، قالا: حَدَّثَنَا يوسف بن يعقوب الماجِشُون، حدثني أبي، عن عبد الرحمن بن كعب بن مالك، عن عائشة قالت: قلتُ: يا رسولَ الله، مَن مِن أزواجِك في الجنة؟ قال: "أَمَا إِنَّكِ منهنَّ" قالت: فخُيِّل لي أنَّ ذاك أنه لم يتزوَّجْ بِكرًا غيري (2). صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Which of your wives will be in Paradise?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, you are certainly among them." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The thought came to my mind that this was because he (peace and blessings be upon him) had not married any virgin other than me."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
