قال ابن عمر: فحدثني ابن جُريج، عن نافع قال: شَهِدتُ أبا هريرة صلَّى على عائشةَ بالبقيع وابنُ عمر في الناس لا يُنكِره، وكان مروانُ اعتمر تلك السنةَ، فاستخلفَ أبا هريرة (3).
It is narrated from Nafi'; he said: I was present when Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) led the funeral prayer of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) at al-Baqi', while Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) was also among the people and raised no objection to it. That year Marwan had gone to perform Umrah and had appointed Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) as his deputy.

Grading: (3) This report is sahih, and Muhammad bin Umar al-Waqidi is corroborated.
وأخرجه ابن سعد في "الطبقات" 10/ 75، والطبري كما في "المنتخب من ذيل المذيل" 11/ 602 من طريق الواقدي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ibn Sa'd in "al-Tabaqat" 10/ 75 and al-Tabari, as in "al-Muntakhab min Dhayl al-Mudhayyal" 11/ 602, through the route of al-Waqidi, with this same chain.
وأخرج عبد الرزاق (1593) و (6366) و (6570) عن ابن جريج، أخبرني نافع قال: صلينا على عائشة وأمِّ سلمة وسط البقيع بين القبور، قال: والإمام يوم صلينا على عائشة أبو هريرة، وحضر ذلك ابن عمر. وسنده صحيح.
Reference / Source: Abd al-Razzaq (1593), (6366) and (6570) narrated from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Nafi' informed me: We prayed the funeral prayer over A'ishah and Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them both) in the middle of al-Baqi' among the graves. He said: The imam on the day we prayed over A'ishah was Abu Hurayrah, and Ibn Umar was present at that.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
