Mustadrak al-Hakim 6799 — The ruling on one who marries his father's

حدثنا أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن عُقبة الشَّيباني بالكوفة، حدثنا إبراهيم ابن إسحاق الزُّهْري، حدثنا عُبيد الله (1) بن موسى وأبو غسان، قالا: حدثنا الحسن ابن صالح، عن السُّدِّي، عن عَدي بن ثابت، عن البراء بن عازب قال: لقيتُ خالي ومعه رايةٌ، فقلتُ: أين تريدُ؟ فقال: أرسلني رسولُ الله ﷺ إلى رجلٍ نكَحَ امرأةَ أبيه من بعدِه، أضربُ عُنقَه، وآخذُ مالَه (2). ذكرُ عُوَيم بن ساعدة ﵁-

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I met my maternal uncle (Sayyiduna Abu Burdah, may Allah be pleased with him) while he had a banner with him. I asked: Where do you intend to go? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has sent me to a man who, after his father, married his father's wife (his stepmother), so that I strike off his neck and confiscate his wealth.
