Mustadrak al-Hakim 6798 — Virtues of Abu Burdah bin Niyar
أخبرنا أبو جعفر البغدادي، حدثنا أبو عُلاثة، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا ابن لَهِيعة، حدثنا أبو الأسود، عن عُرْوة، في تسمية [من شَهِدَ العَقَبةَ من] (1) الأنصار ثم من بني حارثة: أبو بُرْدة بن نِيار، وهو حليفٌ لهم من بَلِيّ، وفي تسمية من شهد بدرًا: أبو بردة ابن نيار.
It is narrated from Urwah that among those of the Ansar who took part in the Pledge of Aqabah, and then of Banu Harithah, comes the name of Abu Burdah bin Niyar, who was their ally from Baliyy; and among those who took part in the Battle of Badr, Abu Burdah bin Niyar is also mentioned.
