حدثني أبو بكر محمد بن أحمد بن بالَوَيهِ، حدثنا إبراهيم بن إسحاق الحَرْبي، حدثنا مصعب بن عبد الله، قال: عامرُ بن واثلة بن عبد الله بن عُمير بن جُحَيش بن حُدَى (2) بن سعد بن ليث، وُلِد عامَ أُحد، وأدركَ من حياة النبيِّ ﷺ ثمانِ سنين، نزل الكوفة، ثم أقام بمكة حتى مات، وهو آخرُ من مات من أصحابِ رسولِ الله ﷺ، مات سنةَ اثنتين ومئة. It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah that Amir bin Wathilah bin Abdullah bin Umayr bin Juhaysh bin Huda bin Sa'd bin Layth (may Allah be pleased with him) was born in the year of the Battle of Uhud and lived through eight years of the blessed life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He first lived in Kufah, then settled in Makkah until he died there. He was the last of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to pass away, and he died in the year 102 AH.

Note / Clarification: The manuscripts have "Umar bin Juhaysh bin Hayyan", which is a corruption; according to Ibn Makula's "al-Ikmal" (2/64), the correct name has "Humays" in place of "Juhaysh".
