أخبرني عبد الله بن محمد الصَّيدلاني، حدثنا علي بن الحسين بن الجُنيد، حدثنا الحُسين بن يزيد الطَّحّان، حدثنا عائذ بن حَبيب، عن الحجَّاج بن أَرْطاة، عن الحَكَم، عن مِقسَم، عن ابن عبّاس، عن أسامة بن زيد قال: كنتُ رِدْفَ النبيِّ ﷺ بعرفةَ (3).
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as his companion rider (one seated behind him) on the occasion of Arafat.

(3) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ليِّن، حسين الطحان وحجاج بن أرطاة فيهما لِينٌ، لكن قد توبعا عند المصنف فيما سلف برقم (1727).
Grading: This hadith is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Its chain is "layyin" (soft/weak) because Husayn al-Tahhan and Hajjaj bin Artah have some weakness in memory; however, they have been corroborated with the author (al-Hakim) at number (1727), which has already passed, and this makes up for it.
