Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6649

It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that he said: Busr bin Abi Artah (and the name of Abu Artah was Umayr) bin Amr bin Uwaymir bin Imran bin al-Hulays bin Sayyar bin Nizar bin Ma'is bin Amir bin Lu'ayy.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): With the author (al-Hakim) the name "'Amr" has been added in his lineage, whereas according to Mus'ab's "Nasab Quraysh" p. 439, among the sons of 'Uwaymir bin 'Imran there is mention of Abu Artah 'Umayr and another brother 'Uwaymir, but no mention of "'Amr" is found in the lineage.

Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts the word here has been corrupted (a scribal error) into "al-Habis".
