حدثنا أبو جعفر البغدادي، حدثنا أبو عُلَاثة، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا ابن لَهِيعة، حدثنا أبو الأسوَد، عن عُرْوة، في تسميَةِ مَن شَهِدَ بدرًا والعقبة من الأنصار: عُمارة بن حَزْم بن زيد بن لَوْذانَ بن عَمرو بن عبد [بن] عَوْف بن غَنْم بن مالك بن النَّجار، واستُشهِدَ يومَ اليَمَامةِ من الأنصار ثم من بني مالك بن النَّجار عُمارة بن حَزْم.
It is narrated from Urwah, in his listing of the names of those Companions from the Ansar who took part in the Battle of Badr and the Pledge of Aqabah, that among them was Umarah bin Hazm bin Zayd bin Lawdhan bin Amr bin Abd bin Awf bin Ghanm bin Malik bin al-Najjar. And Sayyiduna Umarah bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him), who belonged to Banu Malik bin al-Najjar, was martyred on the day of the Battle of Yamamah.
