Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6626

أخبرنا أبو الحسين أحمد بن عثمان بن يحيى البزَّاز ببغداد، حدثنا يحيى بن جعفر بن الزِّبْرِقان، حدثنا محمد بن عيسى بن الطَّبّاع، حدثنا أبو سفيان المَعمري، حدثنا شُعْبة، عن معاوية بن قُرَّة، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "فَضلُ عائشة على النساء كفَضْل الثَّرِيدِ على سائِر الطعام" (1). لم نَكتُبه إلَّا عنه.

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Qurrah bin Iyas (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The superiority of Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) over all women is like the superiority of tharid (bread soaked in meat broth) over all other food."
Imam al-Hakim says: We have written this hadith only through his chain.

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو سفيان المعمري: هو محمد بن حميد اليشكري.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih".
Important point: Abu Sufyan al-Ma'mari is Muhammad bin Humayd al-Yashkuri.
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (19/ (60) و 23 / (107)، وعنه أبو نعيم في "فضائل الخلفاء الراشدين" (155) عن طالب بن قرة الأذني، عن محمد بن عيسى بن الطباع، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani narrated it in "al-Kabir" 19/ (60) and 23/ (107), and through him Abu Nu'aym related it in "Fada'il al-Khulafa' al-Rashidin" (155) with the chain of Talib bin Qurrah al-Adhani from Muhammad bin 'Isa bin al-Tabba'.
ويشهد له حديث عائشة نفسها عند أحمد 42 / (25260) وغيره، وإسناده حسن.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A supporting report (shahid) for this narration is the hadith of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) herself, found with Imam Ahmad at 42/ (25260), and its chain is "hasan".
وحديث أبي موسى الأشعري عند البخاري (3411) ومسلم (2431).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Another supporting report for it is the hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari (3411) and Sahih Muslim (2431).
وحديث أنس بن مالك عند البخاري أيضًا (3770) ومسلم (2446).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The hadith narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) is also a supporting report for it, found in Sahih al-Bukhari (3770) and Sahih Muslim (2446).
