اُردوEn
حدثنا أبو العبّاس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، أخبرنا ابن وهب، أخبرني يونس بن يزيد، عن ابن شِهاب، عن سَهْل بن سعد الأنصاري، وكان قد أدرَكَ رسول الله ﷺ وهو ابنُ خمسَ عشرةَ سنة (2).
It is narrated from Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri that Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) lived in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he was fifteen years old.

Grading: Its chain is sahih.
وأخرج نحوه الطبراني في "الكبير" (5655) من طريق الليث بن سعد، عن يونس بن يزيد، به.
Reference / Source: A similar narration was reported by al-Tabarani in "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" (5655) via al-Layth bin Sa'd, from Yunus bin Yazid, likewise.
وروي من غير هذا الوجه عن ابن شهاب الزهري عند الطبراني (5653) و (5654)، والرامهرمزي في "المحدث الفاصل" (54): أنَّ سهل بن سعد كان ابن خمس عشرة سنة يوم توفي رسول الله ﷺ.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It is narrated through other routes from Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri, by al-Tabarani (5653, 5654) and al-Ramahurmuzi in "al-Muhaddith al-Fasil" (54), that Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) was fifteen (15) years old on the day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
