It is narrated from Asma' bint Wathilah bin al-Asqa' that when my father had prayed the Fajr prayer, he would remain seated facing the qiblah until the sun rose. Sometimes I would speak to him about some need and he would not answer me. I asked about this, and he said that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever prays the Fajr prayer, then, before speaking to anyone, recites 'Say: He is Allah, the One' one hundred times, then for each time he recites 'Say: He is Allah, the One', the sins of one year will be forgiven for him."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): It is recorded like this in the manuscripts, but our strongest assumption is that this attribution is a corruption of "al-Maqdisi", because Sulayman bin 'Abd al-Rahman narrates from Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Rahman al-Qushayri, who resided in Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).
Grading: This chain is ruined (talif, worthless) on account of Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Rahman, since the muhaddithun accused him of lying. Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (22/ 232), Ibn al-Sunni in "'Amal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah" (143) and Ibn 'Asakir in "Tarikh Dimashq" (69/ 30-31), via various routes from Abu Ayyub Sulayman bin 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dimashqi, with this chain.
