أخبرني أبو العبّاس محمد بن أحمد المحبُوبي، حدثنا أحمد بن سَيّار، حدثنا محمد بن كَثير، عن سفيان، عن سليمان، عن مُسلِم أبي الضُّحى، عن مسروق، عن عبد الله قال: نِعمَ تَرجُمانُ القرآنِ ابنُ عبّاس (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) is the best interpreter of the Qur'an."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) إسناده صحيح. سفيان: هو الثوري، وسليمان: هو الأعمش. وقد سلف تخريجه قريبًا عند الرواية رقم (6422).
