Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6402

أخبرنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا مُسلِم بن إبراهيم، حدثنا شُعبة، عن أبي إسحاق، قال: خرج الناسُ يَستَسقُون وفيهم زيدُ بن أرقمَ، ما بيني وبينَه إلَّا رجلٌ، فقلت له: يا أبا عَمرو، كم غَزَا النبيُّ ﷺ؟ قال: تسعَ عشرةَ، قلت: فأنت كم غزوتَ معه؟ قال: سبعَ عشرةَ (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين.

Abu Ishaq states: The people went out for the prayer for rain (istisqa'), and among them was Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him); there was only one man between him and me. I asked him: "O Abu Amr! How many military expeditions did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) undertake?" He replied: "Nineteen." I asked: "In how many did you yourself take part with him (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He said: "Seventeen."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim).

وأخرجه أحمد 32/ (19335)، والبخاري (3949)، ومسلم (1812) (143)، والترمذي (1676)، وابن حبان (6283) من طرق عن شعبة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it 32/(19335), al-Bukhari (3949), Muslim (1812)(143), al-Tirmidhi (1676) and Ibn Hibban (6283) through various routes from Shu'bah with this same chain.
وأخرجه بنحوه أحمد (19282) و (19298)، والبخاري (4471)، ومسلم (1254) من طرق عن أبي إسحاق، به.
