Grading: This narration is "munkar" and its chain is "da'if jiddan" (very weak).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Khalid bin 'Abd al-Rahman is weak by consensus and "matruk". Abu Salih is "Mina'", the freed slave of Duba'ah. According to al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, this is a "gharib" narration in which two weak narrators (Khalid and Kamil) are alone.
Important point: The narrations about saying the phrases of the iqamah once each ("ifrad") in the adhan of Abu Mahdhurah are not established; we have examined all their chains in the notes on Jami' al-Tirmidhi, and none of them is sahih.
General principle: In the adhan and iqamah of Abu Mahdhurah, "shaf'" (saying the phrases twice each) is what is "mahfuz" (correct); however, the addition of "tarji'" (saying the phrases of the two testimonies first in a low voice and then aloud) is established in his adhan. (See: Muslim 379, Abu Dawud 502, etc.).
Important point: Saying the phrases of the adhan twice each without tarji', and the phrases of the iqamah once each, is established from the adhan of Bilal bin Rabah, and this is well known and "mutawatir".
