أخبرني أحمد بن سهل الفقيه ببُخَارَى، حَدَّثَنَا صالح بن محمد بن حَبيب الحافظ، حَدَّثَنَا إبراهيم بن المنذر الحِزَامي قال: مات شدَّادُ بن أَوْس بن ثابت بن المنذِر ابن حَرَام، يُكنى أبا يعلى، وكان نَزَل بفِلَسطينَ، ومات سنة ثمان وخمسين وهو ابن خمسٍ وسبعين.
Mention of the virtues of Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him). It is narrated from Ibrahim bin al-Mundhir that Shaddad bin Aws bin Thabit bin al-Mundhir bin Haram passed away in the year 58 AH. His kunyah was Abu Ya'la; he had settled in Palestine, and at the time of his death he was seventy-five years old.
