حَدَّثَنَا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، حَدَّثَنَا علي بن عبد العزيز، حَدَّثَنَا مُسلِم بن إبراهيم، حَدَّثَنَا حاتم بن وَرْدان، حَدَّثَنَا أيوب، عن ابن أبي مُلَيكة، عن المِسَور بن مَخرَمة قال: قَدِمَت على النَّبِيّ ﷺ أَقبيَةٌ فقَسَمَها بين أصحابه، فقال لي أَبي: انطلِقْ بنا إليه، فإنه أتته أقبيَةٌ، فتكلَّم أَبي على الباب، فعرف النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صوتَه، فخرج ومعه قَباءٌ، فجعل يقول: "خَبَأتُ لك هذا، خَبَأتُ لك هذا" (3).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) that some cloaks came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed them among his Companions. My father said to me: "Come with us to him (peace and blessings be upon him), for cloaks have come to him (peace and blessings be upon him)." My father knocked at the door, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recognized his voice and came out holding a cloak in his hand, and began to say: "I kept this hidden away for you, I kept this hidden away for you."

(3) إسناده صحيح. مسلم بن إبراهيم: هو الأزدي الفراهيدي، وأيوب: هو ابن أبي تميمة السَّختياني، وابن أبي مليكة: هو عبد الله بن عبيد الله بن أبي مليكة.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Muslim bin Ibrahim is al-Azdi al-Farahidi, Ayyub is Ayyub bin Abi Tamimah al-Sakhtiyani, and Ibn Abi Mulaykah is 'Abdullah bin 'Ubaydullah bin Abi Mulaykah.
وأخرجه البخاري (2657)، ومسلم (1058) (130) عن زياد بن يحيى الحسّاني، عن حاتم بن وردان، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari (2657) and Imam Muslim (1058) (130) narrated it via Ziyad bin Yahya al-Hassani from Hatim bin Wardan with this same chain.
ورواه إسماعيل ابن عليّة عن أيوب عند البخاري برقم (6132) فأرسله، لم يذكر فيه المسور بن مخرمة.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Isma'il Ibn 'Ulayyah narrated it from Ayyub (al-Sakhtiyani), and in al-Bukhari at number (6132) it is 'mursal'; al-Miswar bin Makhramah is not mentioned in it.
وأخرجه أحمد (31/ 18927)، والبخاري (2599) و (5800)، ومسلم (1058) (129)، وأبو داود (4028)، والترمذي، (2818)، والنسائي (9584)، وابن حبان (4817) و (4818) من طريق الليث بن سعد، عن ابن أبي مليكة، به.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (31/ 18927), al-Bukhari (2599, 5800), Muslim (1058) (129), Abu Dawud (4028), al-Tirmidhi (2818), al-Nasa'i (9584) and Ibn Hibban (4817, 4818) narrated it via al-Layth bin Sa'd from Ibn Abi Mulaykah.
