It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar that Sayyiduna Makhramah bin Nawfal (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in the Battle of Hunayn with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him fifty camels from the spoils of Hunayn. He passed away in Madinah in 54 AH, and at the time of his death he was one hundred and fifteen years old.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: His student Ibn Sa'd mentioned it from al-Waqidi in 'al-Tabaqat' (6/ 70), where the hadith scholar 'Abdullah bin Ja'far (bin 'Abd al-Rahman bin al-Miswar) denies that Makhramah took anything from it, and says: I never heard anyone of my family mention this.
