It is narrated from Harmalah, the transmitter of the poetry of Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: I came to Hassan and said: "O Abu al-Husam (father of the sharp sword)."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Important point: "'Abd al-Malik" in the manuscripts is wrong; the correct name is "'Ubaydullah bin Sa'd bin Ibrahim al-Zuhri", and Ya'qub is his paternal uncle.
6/ 349. Technical note / Defect ('illah): We could not find a biography of Harmalah, though in some sources he is described as a narrator from 'Abd al-Rahman bin Hassan. Sa'id, who narrates from him, is the grandson of Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him). Reference / Source: Abu Nu'aym and Ibn 'Asakir narrated it via 'Ubaydullah bin Sa'd al-Zuhri with this same chain.
