أخبرني الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق ﵀، أخبرنا علي بن عبد العزيز، أخبرنا إسحاق بن إسماعيل الطّالْقاني، حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدةُ بن اليَسَع، عن الخَصِيب بن جَحْدَر، عن النَّضْر بن شُفَيّ، عن أبي أسماءَ، عن ثوبانَ قال: قال لي رسولُ الله ﷺ: "إذا حلفتَ على معصيةٍ فدَعْها، واقذِفْ ضَغائنَ الجاهلية تحت قَدَمِك، وإياكَ وشُربَ الخمر، فإنَّ الله ﵎ لم يُقدِّسْ شارِبَها" (1).

Abu Asma' narrates from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "If you swear an oath to commit a sin, then abandon it (by breaking that oath), and trample all the rancour of the Jahiliyyah beneath your feet, and beware of drinking wine, for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not declared the one who drinks it pure."

(1) موضوع، النضر بن شفي مجهول جدًّا؛ كما قال ابن القطان، والخصيب بن جحدر أحد الكذابين، ومسعدة بن اليسع أحد المتروكين، انظر "لسان الميزان" لابن حجر 8/ 276، أبو أسماء: هو الرَّحَبي.
Grading: This narration is "mawdu'" (fabricated).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Its narrator al-Nadr bin Shufayy is extremely unknown, Khusayb bin Jahdar is a kadhdhab (liar), and Mas'adah bin al-Yasa' is matruk. (See: Lisan al-Mizan 8/276.)
Important point: Abu Asma' is al-Rahabi.
وأخرجه المستغفري في "فضائل القرآن" (155) بأطول مما هنا من طريق الحسن بن دينار، عن خصيب بن جحدر، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Mustaghfiri narrated it in "Fada'il al-Qur'an" (155), at greater length than here, via al-Hasan bin Dinar from Khusayb bin Jahdar.
Grading: This narration is "mawdu'" (fabricated).
