حَدَّثَنَا أبو العبّاس محمد بن يعقوب حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، حَدَّثَنَا أنس بن عِيَاض، حدثني سعد بن إسحاق بن كعب بن عُجْرة، عن أبي سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي ثُمامةَ (2) قال: لَقِيتُ كعبَ بن عُجْرة فقلتُ: يا أبا محمد، ما الذي أمرَك رسولُ الله ﷺ زَمَنَ الحُديبيةِ في إحرامِك؟ فقال: قال لي رسولُ الله ﷺ: "احلِقْ، احلِقْ" (3).
It is narrated from Abu Thumamah; he said: I met Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked: O Abu Muhammad, what did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) order you at the time of al-Hudaybiyah regarding your ihram? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Shave your head, shave your head."

(2) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: أُمامة، والصواب ما أثبتنا، وهو أبو ثمامة الحناط.
Important point: In the manuscripts this has been distorted to "Umamah"; the correct name is "Abu Thumamah al-Hannat".
(3) أصل الحديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لجهالة حال أبي ثمامة الحناط، فلم يرو عنه سوى سعد بن إسحاق وسعيد المقبري - وقيل: أبو سعيد المقبري - ولم يوثقه غير ابن حبان، وقال الدارقطني: لا يعرف، يُترَك.
Grading: The core of the hadith is "sahih", but this particular chain is weak because Abu Thumamah al-Hannat is unknown.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Only Sa'd bin Ishaq and Sa'id al-Maqburi narrated from him, and no one except Ibn Hibban declared him trustworthy, while according to al-Daraqutni he is unknown and his narration is to be abandoned.
قلنا: لكن روي خبر كعب بن عجرة وقصة إحرامه وأمر النَّبِيّ ﷺ له بالحَلْق بأسانيد صحيحة من غير وجه عن كعب، أخرجه أحمد 30 / (18107) و (18109) و (18116)، والبخاري (1814) و (1816) و (4190)، ومسلم (1201)، وأبو داود (1856) و (1858)، والترمذي (953) و (2974)، وابن ماجه (3080)، والنسائي (4095) و (4098) و (10963)، وابن حبان (3980) و (3985) و (3987).
Grading: We say: the story of Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him), his ihram, and the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to him to shave his head (with fidyah) has been narrated through several other sahih chains, which Ahmad, al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban narrated in their books.
