Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6138

Mention of the virtues of Sayyiduna al-Muhajir bin Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him). It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah that al-Muhajir was the son of Qunfudh bin Umayr bin Jud'an, of Quraysh, of the clan of Taym bin Murrah. His father Qunfudh bin Umayr was one of the nobles of Quraysh, who used to be called "Sharib al-Dhahab" (the drinker of gold, or: exceedingly generous). His mother was Hind bint al-Harith. Al-Muhajir went to Basrah and passed away there.
