(1). Alqamah bin Abi Alqamah narrates from his mother that a woman entered the house of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and prayed near the blessed chamber of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She was completely healthy. Then she went into prostration and did not raise her head until she died. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "All praise belongs to Allah, who gives life and gives death. Surely in this incident there is a lesson for me concerning my brother Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr. He had gone to sleep at his place of midday rest, and when the people went to wake him, they found him dead." So a misgiving had arisen in the heart of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that perhaps he had been treated with some evil, or that haste had been made in burying him while he was still alive. Then she found in this woman's death a source of consolation for herself, and the misgiving that was in her heart went away.

Grading: Its chain is "hasan" (close to being graded hasan). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Two narrators narrated from Umm Alqamah (Marjanah), and a declaration of her trustworthiness is transmitted only from al-Ijli and Ibn Hibban. Isma'il bin Abi Uways is hasan al-hadith in corroborating narrations, and he has been corroborated. Important point: Ibrahim bin al-Husayn is Ibn Dizil, and Alqamah bin Abi Alqamah is the mawla of Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). Reference / Source: Ibn Sa'd and Ibn Asakir narrated it via Abu Bakr bin Abdullah, the brother of Isma'il, and al-Bayhaqi in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (9742) via Abdullah bin Wahb, from Sulayman bin Bilal.
