It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Since I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have never touched my private part with my right hand."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Important point: In the manuscripts the word here has been distorted to "Bukayr".
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it (33/19943) via Abd al-Samad bin Abd al-Warith from Hajib bin Umar, with this same chain. Note / Clarification: Regarding "ma masastu" (I did not touch) to the end of it, al-Sindi says in his "Hashiyah" on the "Musnad" that this was out of reverence for the pledge and respect for the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), because revering whatever his hand (peace and blessings be upon him) has touched is in reality reverence for his hand itself.
