وأخبَرَناهُ عبد الله بن إسحاق الخُزاعيُّ بمكة، حدثنا أبو يحيى بن أبي مَسَرَّة، حدثنا مُعاذ بن أَسدِ المَروَزي، حدثنا الفَضْل بن موسى، حدثنا صالح بن أبي جُبير (2)، عن أبيه، عن رافع بن عمرو الغِفاري، قال: كنت أَرمي نخلًا للأنصار، فأَخَذُوني، فذهَبُوا بي إلى رسول الله ﷺ، فقالوا: هذا يَرْمي نَخْلَنَا، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "يا رافعُ، لِمَ تَرْمي نخلَهم؟ " قلت: يا رسولَ الله، أجُوعُ، قال: "فكُلْ ما وَقَع (1)، أشبَعَك اللهُ وأَرْواكَ" (2). ذكرُ مناقب عبد الرحمن بن سَمُرة القُرشي ﵁ -

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Amr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was throwing stones at the palm trees of the Ansar when people caught me and took me to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). They said: He throws stones at our palm trees. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Rafi'! Why do you throw stones at their palm trees?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! Because of hunger. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat whatever falls down; may Allah fill you and quench your thirst."

Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this is distorted into "Ja'far".
(1) في (ص): مما سقط.
Note / Clarification: In manuscript (S): "mimma saqata".
(2) حديث حسن بما قبله وهذا إسناد محتمل للتحسين من أجل أبي جُبير: وهو مولى الحكم ابن عمرو الغفاري، لم يرو عنه غير ابنه صالح ولم يعرف بجرح، وابنه صالح روى عنه اثنان ثقتان وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، فحديثهما محتمل للتحسين.
Grading: It is hasan by virtue of the one before it, and this chain can possibly be graded hasan because of Abu Jubayr, the freed slave (mawla) of al-Hakam bin 'Amr al-Ghifari. No one but his son Salih narrated from him, and he is not known to have been criticised. Two thiqah narrators narrated from his son Salih, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat"; so the hadith of the two of them can possibly be graded hasan.
وأخرجه الترمذي (1288) عن أبي عمار الحسين بن حُريث، عن الفضل بن موسى، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (1288) recorded it from Abu 'Ammar al-Husayn bin Hurayth, from al-Fadl bin Musa, with this chain.
وقال الترمذي: هذا حديث حسن غريب صحيح.
