It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) that the kunya of Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Azhar bin Abd Awf bin Abd al-Harith bin Zuhrah bin Kilab was "Abu Zubayr". His mother was Bukayrah bint Abd Yazid bin Hashim bin al-Muttalib, and he took part in the Battle of Hunayn with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Important point: Ibn Sa'd's statement in "al-Tabaqat" (6/520) is similar, except that he mentioned that his kunyah was "Abu Jubayr", not "Abu Zubayr", and he did not mention Abd al-Rahman bin Azhar's presence at Hunayn. Important point: Abd al-Rahman bin Azhar's presence at Hunayn is established in his hadith narrated by Ahmad (31/19079), Abu Dawud (4488) and al-Nasa'i (5264): "A drinker (of wine) was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Hunayn." It will come with the author at number (8329), and it is a sahih hadith.
