It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nafi' bin Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that some Bedouin people, dressed in woollen garments, came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I got up and stood between them and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (as a screen). Then I thought that these people were his (peace and blessings be upon him) confidants, but even so my heart wished that I stay close to him. So I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "You will fight the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant its conquest; then you will fight Persia and Allah will grant its conquest too; then you will fight the Dajjal and Allah will grant you victory (by overpowering him)."

Grading: The hadith is sahih, while the present chain is da'if (weak) due to the weakness of Musa bin Abd al-Malik bin Umayr. But he is not alone in it; a group corroborated him, among them Yunus bin Abi Ishaq al-Sabi'i (as has passed with the author at number 5795) and al-Mas'udi (as will come at number 8517), and they also added the mention of the conquest of Rome (al-Rum). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Umar bin Hafs is al-Sadusi, and Asim bin Ali is Ibn Asim al-Wasiti. Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani narrated it in "al-Awsat" (3691) from Umar bin Hafs al-Sadusi, with this chain. Reference / Source: Abu al-Qasim bin Bishran narrated it in his "Amali" (1640) through the route of al-Hasan bin Mukram; and Abu Bakr bin Furak in "Juz' fihi Ahadith Ibn Hayyan" (91) through the route of Muhammad bin Yahya bin Sulayman al-Marwazi. Both of them narrate it from Asim bin Ali al-Wasiti, with this chain.
