It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Jibril (peace be upon him) descended to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: The best opinion is the one that Hubab has given. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Hubab! You gave the right advice."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is very weak (da'if jiddan). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibn Abi Habibah (Ibrahim bin Isma'il) is disputed, but he is closer to weakness. He is alone in narrating this hadith, and Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) is alone in narrating it from him, and al-Waqidi is of the same kind (weak). Reference / Source: It is in "Maghazi al-Waqidi" (1/54). Ibn Sa'd narrated it in "al-Tabaqat" (3/525) from Muhammad bin Umar al-Waqidi, with this chain.
