قال ابن عُمر: وشهد عاصم بن عدي أُحدًا والخَندق والمَشاهِدَ كلَّها مع رسولِ الله ﷺ، وكان عاصمٌ إلى القِصَر ما هو، ومات سنة خمس وأربعين في خلافة معاوية، وهو ابن خمسَ عشرةَ ومئة.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar that Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in the battles of Uhud and the Trench and in all the battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He was rather short in stature, and he died in the year 45 AH during the caliphate of Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), at the age of one hundred and fifteen years.
