أخبرنا أحمد بن يعقوب الثَّقَفي، حدثنا موسى بن زكريا التُّستَري، حدثنا شَبَاب بن خَيّاط، قال: مات أبو عَوف سَلَمة بن سَلَامة بن وَقْش سنة خمس وأربعين، ودُفن بالمدينة ﵁ (1).
It is narrated from Shabab bin Khayyat that Abu Awf, Sayyiduna Salamah bin Salamah bin Waqsh (may Allah be pleased with him), died in the year 45 AH and was laid to rest in Madinah.

(1) وهو في طبقات "خليفة" ص 77 لكن دون ذكر مكان دفن سَلَمة ودون ذكر كنيته. وشَبَاب هو لقب خليفة.
