It is narrated from Ibn Ishaq concerning the lineage of Sayyiduna Salamah bin Salamah bin Waqsh (may Allah be pleased with him) that he is Salamah bin Salamah bin Waqsh bin Zughbah bin Za'ura bin Abd al-Ashhal bin Jumah bin Jusham bin al-Harith bin al-Khazraj bin Amr bin Malik bin Aws.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Important point: Ibn Ishaq mentioned him among those who were present at Badr, as in "Sirat Ibn Hisham" (1/ 685-686), and he also mentioned his lineage, but he did not mention "Jumah" in his lineage. Important point: This is the statement of all the genealogists; none of them mentioned "Jumah" in this lineage. See Ibn Hazm's "Jamharat al-Ansab" (p. 339), Ibn Abd al-Barr's "al-Inbah" (p. 104), al-Sam'ani's "al-Ansab" (under the attribution: al-Awsi) and others. Our predominant view is that it was inserted into the source manuscripts of al-Mustadrak by some copyists.
