Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 5834

حدثنا أبو زكريا يحيى بن محمد العَنْبري، حدثنا محمد بن عبد السلام، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثَّقَفي، حدثنا خالدٌ الحَذّاء، عن عبد الله بن شَقِيق، عن عبد الله بن أبي الجَدْعاء، أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "يَدخُل الجنةَ بشفاعةِ رجل من أُمّتي أكثرُ من بني تَمِيمٍ" (1). قال الثَّقفي: قال هشامُ بن حسّانَ: سمعتُ الحسَن يقول: إنه أُويسٌ القَرَني. صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. ذكرُ مناقب سَهْل بن حُنيف الأنصاري، وكنيتُه أبو ثابت ﵁ -

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi al-Jad'a (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Through the intercession of one man of my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the entire number of Banu Tamim." Hisham bin Hassan says: I heard Imam al-Hasan al-Basri say that this man is Sayyiduna Uways al-Qarani (may Allah be pleased with him).
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: Its chain is sahih. It preceded at numbers (237) and (238) by two other routes from Khalid al-Hadhdha' (Ibn Mihran).
