(1). Musa bin Talhah relates that the complexion of Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him) was white tinged with red. He was of medium height, inclining slightly towards shortness. He had a broad chest and wide shoulders. When he turned towards someone, he turned with his whole body. His feet were large and his face was handsome, and the bridge of his nose was thin. He walked with quick steps, and he did not change the whiteness of his hair (with dye and the like).

Explanation & Benefits

Note / Clarification: (4) In the manuscripts this has been corrupted into "al-Junayd"; the correct reading is "al-Mundhir". He is "Ibrahim bin al-Mundhir al-Hizami", as in all the sources of the takhrij.
Grading: (1) Its chain is da'if (weak). 'Abd al-'Aziz bin 'Imran (Ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Zuhri) and Ishaq bin Yahya bin Talhah are both weak. Reference / Source: Abu al-Qasim al-Baghawi narrated it in "Mu'jam al-Sahabah" (1341), al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (191), Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (366) and Ibn 'Asakir in "Tarikh Dimashq" 25/ 63, via the route of 'Ali bin 'Abd al-'Aziz, with this same chain.
