Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its narrators are thiqah (trustworthy), but it is "mursal".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): "'Abbad bin 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr" here actually refers to "'Abbad bin Hamzah bin 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr", who is here attributed to his grandfather. Although Hisham bin 'Urwah narrates from both men (i.e. also from his uncle 'Abbad bin 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr), he heard this report from 'Abbad bin Hamzah. Thus Ibn 'Abd al-Barr in "al-Isti'ab" p. 262, attributing this narration to Abu Ishaq al-Fazari (the narrator here, i.e. Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin al-Harith), said: "from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from 'Abbad bin Hamzah". We say: a group narrated it from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from 'Abbad bin Hamzah. And Hisham bin 'Urwah also heard this report from his father 'Urwah bin al-Zubayr, as another group narrated it from Hisham. It is as if this report was preserved within the family of al-Zubayr and among his sons.

Details of the narration: These six narrate it from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from 'Abbad bin Hamzah bin 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr, as "mursal".
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Shaybah 12/ 262 and 14/ 376 narrated it from 'Abdah bin Sulayman, from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from 'Abbad bin Hamzah, from "al-Zubayr".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In both places it reads "from al-Zubayr", and we think this is a corruption of "bin al-Zubayr", since in several narrations he is attributed to his grandfather and was called "'Abbad bin Hamzah bin al-Zubayr". In this way the narration of 'Abdah bin Sulayman agrees with that of the narrators mentioned earlier from Hisham bin 'Urwah. It is also possible that by "from al-Zubayr" he meant "about the story of al-Zubayr", and this too does not conflict with the narration of the earlier narrators.
Reference / Source: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated it in his "Tafsir" 1/ 131 via Qatadah bin Di'amah; Ibn Sa'd in "al-Tabaqat al-Kubra" 3/ 96 (and via him al-Baladhuri in "Ansab al-Ashraf" 9/ 422 - 423), Ibn 'Asakir 18/ 353 and Ibn al-Jawzi in "al-Muntazam" 5/ 108 via Hammam bin Yahya al-'Awdhi; and Ahmad bin Hanbal in "Fada'il al-Sahabah" (1269) from 'Abbad bin 'Abbad al-Muhallabi. These three narrate it from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from his father 'Urwah, as "mursal".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Hammam added in his narration: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Today the angels descended with the mark (sima') of al-Zubayr." Hammam is alone (mutafarrid) in this addition, yet al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar declared this narration of Hammam sahih in "al-Isabah" 2/ 555!
Details of the narration: Also Ibn Sa'd 3/ 96, Ibn Abi Shaybah 12/ 261 and Ibn Abi Hatim in his "Tafsir" 3/ 755 narrated it via Waki' bin al-Jarrah, from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from Yahya bin 'Abbad bin 'Abdullah al-Zubayr, as mursal. Except that Ibn Sa'd said in his narration that (Waki') once said "from Yahya bin 'Abbad bin 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr" and once said "from Hamzah bin 'Abdullah". It seems that Waki' did not retain his name precisely, and the most correct of Waki''s versions is the one agreeing with those who narrated it from Hisham bin 'Urwah "from 'Abbad bin Hamzah", as has passed. And Allah knows best.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari narrated it in his "Tafsir" 4/ 83 and Ibn 'Asakir 18/ 353 via 'Abd al-Rahman bin Sharik bin 'Abdullah al-Nakha'i, from his father, from Hisham bin 'Urwah, from 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Hisham's narrating from his uncle 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr is possible, but 'Abd al-Rahman bin Sharik al-Nakha'i is alone in mentioning this narration. Abu Hatim al-Razi said of him: "wahi al-hadith" (very weak in hadith), and Ibn Hibban, after listing him in "al-Thiqat", said: "He sometimes erred".
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this topic there is a "mawquf" narration from Abu al-Malih, from his father, found in al-Bazzar (2338), al-Tabarani's "al-Kubra" (518) and Ibn 'Asakir 18/ 353 - 354.
Grading: And its chain is "talif" (ruined, extremely weak).
Reference / Source: And from al-Zubayr bin al-'Awwam himself, as his own words, in al-Waqidi's "Maghazi" 1/ 76, and from him Ibn Sa'd 3/ 95.
Grading: And its chain too is "talif" (ruined, extremely weak).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: That on the day of Badr the angels were marked by yellow turbans (without mention of al-Zubayr bin al-'Awwam) is supported by the hadith of Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi, as will be explained under hadith number (6313).
Grading: And that report is "strong" by the combination of its routes.
