عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ غَزَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ سِتَّ غَزَوَاتٍ
Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in six campaigns with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

أخبرني محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن إسحاق الثَّقَفي، حَدَّثَنَا قُتيبة بن سعيد، حَدَّثَنَا جَرير، عن منصور، عن مُجاهِد، عن جُنَادة بن أبي أُميّة الدَّوْسِي، قال: دخلتُ على عُبادةَ بن الصامت، وكان قد تَفقَّه في دِينِ الله (1).
It is narrated from Junadah bin Abi Umayyah al-Dawsi that he said: I went to Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), and he had attained deep understanding (tafaqquh) of the religion of Allah.

(1) إسناده صحيح. جَرير: هو ابن عبد الحميد الضَّبِّي، ومنصور: هو ابن المعتمر، ومُجاهد: هو ابن جَبْر المكي.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih.
Note / Clarification: Jarir is "Ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Dabbi", Mansur is "Ibn al-Mu'tamir", and Mujahid is "Ibn Jabr al-Makki".
وأخرجه البيهقي في "المدخل إلى السنن الكبرى" (108)، ومن طريقه ابن عساكر 26/ 194 - 195 عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in "al-Madkhal ila al-Sunan al-Kubra" (108), and through him Ibn 'Asakir at 26/ 194 - 195, from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim with this same chain.
وأخرجه الشاشي في "مسنده" (1222) من طريق شيبان بن عبد الرحمن النَّحْوي، عن منصور بن المعتمر، به.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Al-Shashi also narrated it likewise in his "Musnad" (1222) via Shayban bin Abd al-Rahman al-Nahwi from Mansur bin al-Mu'tamir.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih.
