Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) In our manuscripts this name is corrupted into "Hatim". It has been corrected from its other occurrences with the author (al-Hakim), for the author narrated with this same chain a number of reports from "Tarikh Yahya al-Kabir" on knowledge of the Companions.
Reference / Source: (2) Ibn Sa'd (3/ 497) narrated from al-Waqidi with his chain up to Muhammad bin Abd Allah bin Zayd that his father (Abd Allah bin Zayd) had the kunyah Abu Muhammad.
