It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out to prepare an army. Then his gaze fell on Sayyiduna al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is al-Abbas, the paternal uncle of the Prophet, the most generous-handed of Quraysh and the one who most maintains ties of kinship with them."

Grading: (6) Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Talhah (Ibn Abd al-Rahman bin Talhah). For further detail see the discussion before it.
