أخبرنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا إسماعيل بن قُتيبة، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نُمير، قال: أم العباس بن عبد المطلب نُتَيلة بنت جَنَاب (2) بن كُلَيب بن مالك بن عمرو بن عامر بن النَّمِر بن قاسطٍ، ولد العباس قبل الفِيل بثلاث سنين.
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr relates that the mother of Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) was Nutaylah bint Janab bin Kulayb bin Malik bin Amr bin Amir bin al-Namir bin Qasit. Sayyiduna al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was born three years before the Event of the Elephant.
