Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of 'Amr bin Wabisah (Ibn Ma'bad); a group narrated from him and Ibn Hibban mentioned him.
Technical note: In an unreliable route, a narrator named "Salim" (unspecified) is added between Ishaq bin Rashid and 'Amr bin Wabisah (which is incorrect).
Reference / Source: This narration is found in "Jami' Ma'mar bin Rashid" (20727), and it will be repeated at number (8519).
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ahmad 7/ (4286) from Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from a (vague, unnamed) man, from 'Amr bin Wabisah.
Technical note / Identifying the unnamed narrator: Here the narrator from 'Amr bin Wabisah is left unnamed, but al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar stated with certainty in "Ta'jil al-Manfa'ah" (1582) that he is "Ishaq bin Rashid al-Jazari".
Supporting evidence: This is supported by the narration recorded by Ahmad (4287) via Abdullah bin al-Mubarak, from Ma'mar, from Ishaq bin Rashid, from 'Amr bin Wabisah, from his father.
Technical note / Correcting an error: The chain that appears in the printed "Musnad Ibn al-Mubarak" (262) (from Ma'mar, from Salim, from Ishaq) is not correct. It appears to be an insertion by some copyists or by those who collated the book in early times. For this same narration was reported by Abd al-Ghani al-Maqdisi in "Tahrim al-Qatl" (81) via this same route (al-Hasan bin Sufyan, from Hibban, from Ibn al-Mubarak), and it does not mention "Salim" between Ma'mar and Ishaq. Other imams also narrated it from Ibn al-Mubarak without any intermediary. In this way the narrations of Ibn al-Mubarak and Abd al-Razzaq (from Ma'mar) agree, as al-Daraqutni indicated in "al-'Ilal" (882).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Ma'mar was corroborated in his narration from Ishaq bin Rashid by "Sulayman bin Suhayb al-'Attar al-Raqqi", as reported by Abu 'Ali Muhammad bin Sa'id al-Qushayri in "Tarikh al-Raqqah" (286) and, through him, by Ibn 'Asakir in "Tarikh Dimashq" 62/ 336; he narrated it from Ishaq bin Rashid, from 'Amr bin Wabisah, from his father. However, Sulayman bin Suhayb is of unknown status (jahalah).
Technical note / Preponderance: They were contradicted by al-Qasim bin Ghazwan (Sunan Abi Dawud 4258), who added "Salim" between Ishaq and 'Amr bin Wabisah. But al-Qasim bin Ghazwan, like Sulayman bin Suhayb, is also of unknown status. Hence the route of Ma'mar bin Rashid (a thiqah hafiz) is what remains clear and preponderant for us.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Two other men also narrated this report from 'Amr bin Wabisah: (1) Ja'far bin Burqan (al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" 4164, and Muhammad bin Sa'id al-Qushayri in "Tarikh al-Raqqah" 22), (2) Abd al-Hamid bin Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin al-Khattab (al-Qushayri in "Tarikh al-Raqqah" 23). Both routes have some criticism, but they are suitable for corroborations and supporting reports.

Corroborating chains and supporting reports: For the "marfu'" part at the beginning of the hadith, there is a supporting report in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), found in Musnad Ahmad 13/ (7796), al-Bukhari (3601) and Muslim (2886) with these words: "There will soon be tribulations in which the one sitting will be better than the one standing, the one standing better than the one walking, and the one walking better than the one running (towards them)." And in a narration of Muslim: "In them the one asleep will be better than the one awake, the one awake better than the one standing, and the one standing better than the one running."
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Likewise there is a supporting report in the hadith of Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), found in Musnad Ahmad 34/ (20412) and Muslim (2887). Its wording with Ahmad is: "Indeed there will soon be a tribulation in which the one lying down will be better than the one sitting, the one sitting better than the one standing, the one standing better than the one walking, and the one walking better than the one running." This narration will come later with the author (al-Hakim) at number (8565).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Also the hadith of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) is found in Musnad Ahmad 32/ (19662) and elsewhere, with wording like the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), and it will come later with the author at number (8564).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And the hadith of Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) is narrated in Musnad Ahmad 3/ (1446) and al-Tirmidhi (2194) like the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), and it will come later with the author at number (8566) with wording like that of Wabisah bin Ma'bad.
