Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) This chain is "very weak" (da'if jiddan) because of "Mu'awiyah bin Yahya al-Sadafi"; there is agreement on his weakness, and al-Dhahabi identified him as the defect in "al-Talkhis".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) was mistaken in "Ithaf al-Maharah" (16239) when he said: "Amr bin al-Walid al-Aghdaf is matruk (abandoned)"; for Ibn Ma'in commented on Amr bin al-Walid al-Aghdaf (the text of his verdict is missing here), Abu Dawud declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and Ibn Hibban and Ibn Shahin mentioned him in "al-Thiqat" (see: "al-Tadhyil" of Tariq Al Naji, 1/ 221-222). Al-Dhahabi (may Allah have mercy on him) is alone in "al-Mizan" in calling him "layyin al-hadith" (soft in hadith).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): And Yahya bin Jabir (al-Ta'i) did not hear from Jubayr bin Nufayr, so his narration from him is "mursal".
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" (17/ 1008) from al-Husayn bin Ishaq al-Tustari, with this same chain.
Reference / Source: Al-Khatib recorded it in "Tarikh Baghdad" (5/ 73) through the route of Ahmad bin Asram al-Mughaffali al-Muzani, from Ubaydullah bin Umar al-Qawariri, from Amr bin al-Walid al-Aghdaf, with this chain.
Reference / Source: Ibrahim al-Harbi recorded it in "Gharib al-Hadith" (3/ 996); Ibn Qani' in "Mu'jam al-Sahabah" (2/ 277) from Muhammad bin al-Fadl al-Saqati; Ibn Adi in "al-Kamil" (5/ 145) from Imran bin Musa al-Sakhtiyani; Abu Ishaq al-Tha'labi in his "Tafsir" (7/ 92) through the route of Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Abd al-Aziz bin al-Ja'd; and Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (5427) through the route of Ahmad bin Yahya al-Hulwani.
Details of the narration: All of them (al-Harbi, al-Saqati, Imran al-Sakhtiyani, Ibn al-Ja'd and al-Hulwani) narrate from Ubaydullah bin Umar al-Qawariri, from Amr bin al-Walid al-Aghdaf, from Mu'awiyah bin Yahya al-Sadafi, from Yazid bin Jabir, from Jubayr bin Nufayr, from Iyad bin Ghanm. Thus they mentioned "Yazid bin Jabir" (instead of Yahya bin Jabir).
Important point: It is authentically established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Marry the loving, child-bearing woman, for I will vie with the other Prophets through your great numbers on the Day of Resurrection."
Reference / Source: Ahmad (20/ 12613 and 21/ 13569) and Ibn Hibban (4028) recorded it from the hadith of Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and its chain is "qawi" (strong).
Details of the narration: There is a similar narration from the hadith of Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him), but with the wording: "I will vie with the other nations through your great numbers."
Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (2050), al-Nasa'i (5323) and Ibn Hibban (4056, 4057) recorded it, and its chain is also "qawi" (strong).
