تُوُفِّيَ شُرَحْبِيلُ ابْنُ حَسْنَةَ يَوْمَ الْيَرْمُوكِ سَنَةَ ثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ
Shurahbil bin Hasanah (may Allah be pleased with him) died on the day of Yarmuk in 18 AH

أخبرني الحُسين بن علي التَّمِيمي، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن الحسين، حدثنا عمرو بن زُرَارة، حدثنا زياد بن عبد الله البَكّائي، عن محمد بن إسحاق، في تسمية مَن هاجر إلى الحبشة: شُرحبيل بن حَسَنة، هاجرت أمُّه حَسَنةُ إلى أرض الحبشة مع زوجها سفيان بن مَعْمَر بن حبيب بن وَهْب بن حُذافة بن جُمَح (1).
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Ishaq, concerning those who emigrated to Abyssinia, that among them was Shurahbil bin Hasanah; his mother Hasanah emigrated to the land of Abyssinia with her husband Sufyan bin Ma'mar bin Habib.
