Yahya bin Sa'id says that the soul of Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) was taken at the age of thirty-three or thirty-four.
Imam al-Hakim says that this statement of Yahya bin Sa'id is closer to being correct than the previous statements!

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (2) It has just appeared, from Yahya bin Sa'id al-Ansari, that Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) was "twenty-eight (28) years" old at the time of his death, and this is the "authentic and well-known" statement reported from him (Yahya). As for "Ibrahim", who narrates from Yahya here, we have not been able to identify him.
