أخبرني حامد بن محمد المُذكِّر، حدثنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا حَجّاج بن مِنْهال، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، عن محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سَلَمة، أبي أبي هريرة قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: "ابنا العاص مُؤمنان: هشامٌ وعَمرٌو" (2). صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The two sons of al-As are believers: Hisham and Amr."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) إسناده حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو: وهو ابن علقمة الليثي. Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of Muhammad bin 'Amr (Ibn 'Alqamah al-Laythi). وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (8042) و 14/ (8338) و (8641) من طرق عن حماد بن سلمة، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it (13/8042, 14/8338 and 8641) from Hammad bin Salamah through various routes with this same chain. وسيأتي برقم (6019) من طريق عفان بن مسلم عن حماد. Details of the narration: This narration will come later at number (6019) by way of 'Affan bin Muslim from Hammad.
