It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: My paternal aunt's son Harithah went out on the day of Badr only to observe, not to fight, but an arrow struck him and he was martyred. My aunt came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, my son Harithah: if he is in Paradise, I will be patient and hope for reward; otherwise, you will see what I do. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Harithah, there are many gardens there, and indeed Harithah is in the highest station of the Paradise of al-Firdaws."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it with this wording narrated by Thabit; however, they both agreed on the abridged hadith narrated by Humayd from Anas.

Grading: (2) Both of its chains are "sahih". Humayd is Ibn Abi Humayd al-Tawil, Abu al-Walid is Hisham bin 'Abd al-Malik al-Tayalisi, and Thabit is Ibn Aslam al-Bunani. Reference / Source: It is recorded in Musnad Ahmad: 21/ (13787), by al-Bukhari (6567), al-Nasa'i (8174) and Ibn Hibban (7391) through the route of Isma'il bin Ja'far bin Abi Kathir; and by al-Bukhari (3982) and (6550) through the route of Abu Ishaq Ibrahim bin Muhammad al-Fazari; both from Humayd al-Tawil, with this same chain. Reference / Source: And it is recorded in Musnad Ahmad: 20/ (13250) and 21/ (14011), by al-Nasa'i (8175) and Ibn Hibban (4664) through various routes from Sulayman bin al-Mughirah, with this same chain. Reference / Source: And it is recorded with similar wording in Musnad Ahmad: 20/ (13200) and 21/ (13741) and (14015), by al-Bukhari (2809), al-Tirmidhi (3174) and Ibn Hibban (958) through the route of Qatadah > Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him). Important point / Research: Qatadah said in his narration: "Otherwise I will weep over him intensely". This explains the (female Companion's) statement here: "You will see what I do". Qatadah named (the slain man) in his narration as "Harithah bin Suraqah". So he is not "Harithah bin al-Nu'man", such that this hadith should be mentioned among his virtues, as the author (al-Hakim) did! Important point / Research: The statement of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) in Thabit's narration, "Harithah, the son of my paternal aunt", confirms that he is Harithah bin Suraqah, because the mother of Harithah bin Suraqah is "al-Rubayyi' bint al-Nadr bin Damdam", who is the paternal aunt of Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
Note / Clarification: (1) Muslim did not record this hadith.
