It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid bin al-Sakan al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, his mother cried out and wept. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Will your tears not dry and your grief not go away? Your son is the first person at whom Allah Almighty smiled (with pleasure) and for whom the Throne shook."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its chain is possibly "hasan" (it may be graded hasan) because of Ishaq bin Rashid. He is a Kufan narrator; al-Khatib gave his biography in "al-Muttafiq wa al-Muftariq": 1/ 418-419 and mentioned that Mis'ar bin Kidam also narrated from him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat". Reference / Source: It is recorded in Musnad Ahmad: 45/ (27581) from Yazid bin Harun, with this same chain. Technical note / Language: His words "yarqa'u dam'uk" mean: may your tears settle and stop.
